The Heavy Duty pressure plate allows for a 20 to 50 percent increase in clamp load over the stock unit. ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate features precision CNC machined parts, drive straps and rivets to securely locate contact face to the cover for quiet, trouble-free operation. The Heavy Duty pressure plate will have a stock to moderate pedal feel. ACT pressure plates feature creative diaphragm designs to increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. The Heavy Duty pressure plate meets SFI Specification 1.1. ACT's 6-pad rigid race discs are made with high quality, ceramic friction materials and all friction pads are measured, sorted and matched before assembly to ensure each disc is uniform in thickness. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability and the lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and smooth, trouble-free service. The 6-pad rigid race disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat and for smoother engagement. This disc is not recommended for street use. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification. The kit is completed with a quality, stock replacement release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.

To construct this fabric, pre-finishing chemistries are applied to the solution-dye polyester fabric to prep it for the encapsulation process. Nextec proprietary equipment then applies a viscous patented mixture of silicon-based polymers onto the fabric. Heat and pressure is applied to the polymers, working them inside the fabric and wrapping the individual fade resistant fibers. All but the smallest spaces are filled and the micro holes that remain allow the fabric to breathe so any moisture or heat under the cover can easily escape. Specially designed ovens cure the polymers to a solid state and the fabric is ready to make into covers. No microfibers, no laminates, and no surface coating. "EPIC" by Nextec's encapsulation process delivers all-weather protection, compact packability, easy care, and a soft-to-paint touch without sacrificing breathability. WeatherShield is not waterproof, but if kept clean it will shed most water and helps prevent dust, dirt, bird droppings and tree sap from reaching the vehicle surface. The breathable properties of the fabric assure that any heat, moisture or condensation under the cover can easily escape. This cover is backed by a four-year warranty against fabric flaws and workmanship.
